I tried to make this post at the Asus forum but it seems they have removed the notebook part of the forum.
I have a M50VM-B2 notebook that I recently replaced the HD and installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.
I managed to install almost all the drivers with the exception of the Bluetooth driver/software. Everything is working perfectly and the keyboard lag that once plagued the unit is totally gone and I have the entire ATK stuff installed and working. Again less Bluetooth.
When I try to install the driver it simply doesn't detect the device. Also it doesn't appear in Device Manager and there are no unknown etc stuff in there as everything is installed perfectly.
I can't help but wonder if the ATK hotkey or something to that affect is turning off the adapter when the machine boots.
Considering everything is working perfectly I don't wish to reinstall windows or anything to that affect so if I get the canned asus "use recovery partition" resinstall BS I'll be pissed.
This machine has ran horrible from day one and the boxed Vista install was terrible. It's like a new machine at this point in it's current state BUT I have to get bluetooth working as I use it with my touch pro 2 and GPS receiver. It's clearly a software issue as I alluded to above. Considering this issue has been systemic I'd assume someone can help...
