Hi guys,

Asus support webpage only lists BIOS 311 and 312 but I'm looking specifically for bios 310 for my Flow Z13 GZ301ZC model (i7-12700H/RTX 3050).
Note that it is not possible to flash BIOS 310 from GZ301ZE (i9/3050 Ti) model as I get an error message in EZ Flash (File selected is not a proper BIOS).

Hi,

why you need 310, any deeper reason?

And yes Bios from GZ301ZE will never work its normal different Mainboard.

Hi!

It's because i had no CPU power throttle with bios 310. The trick doesnt work anymore with bios 311 or 312 :(

I see this point, but I guess it is intended to prevent thermal issues.
But did you also update Intel DTT this has impact on PL1+PL2 Power configuration

I did try all DTT versions available including the one you mentioned, but I still get CPU throttling down to 22W when the dGPU is utilized.
I circumvented this with BIOS 310 and completely uninstalling DTT.
Very frustrating.

From my personal point that is the issue when you have a "crowbar" CPU + dGPU, in a very thin case with max power of 100W.

CPU: PL2 115W but normal 45 Watt
dGPU: 40 Watt
So you reach 85Watt just for CPU + GPU and have around 15W for rest.

I will try to check it tomorrow in system if there is 310 still available.

With the processor's fast-onset limit of 55 watts (+35 watts dGPU & rest of the system), we are still at a measured consumption of 103 watts and the battery is still being used a little. So the limitation is solely due to the device's power supply; the cooling could certainly stand more (e.g. a stronger version of the graphics card).

Thank you for your replies, that is already much appreciated.

With stock settings and Armoury Crate set to Turbo, in games, GPU is consuming 35W and CPU gets throttled to 22W after a minute or so.
Total CPU+GPU sustained power is only 55W... whilst the Flow Z13 cooling can sustain at least 70W of combined power.

Can you open HWInfo64 (sensors) and check the PL1+PL2 wattage?

I am travelling without the main charger at this moment so I will share with you the PL1/PL2 on HWInfo64 while gaming (and 22W power limit) when I get back this weekend.

Thanks for sharing the latest DTT and BIOS versions (which are not yet available on the Asus website). I guess you would like me to try them too ?
